After completing the CCIE security boot camp students will be able to determine if they are ready to participate in the 8 hour lab exam that will allow them to become a CCIE. The student will be tested in a way that imitates the real world; they need to be able to setup a secure network in the 8 hour timeframe. The student has 1 ½ years to make an attempt at the lab. A total time of 3 years is allowed to pass the actual CCIE lab test from the time that the written test is completed at the CCIE security boot camp.
